Design & Engineering: Our company provides detail working drawings including AutoCad. These detailed drawings provide extensive research to catch any design defects or possible building code issues. In many cases we have redesigned portions of the stair for both code compliance and esthetics. By providing this detailed information our company saves our client's time and money. It also assists with project discrepancies between trades and risk of financial liability thru the project's completion while providing a quality staircase in a timely manner. We calculate the size and number of steps with complex geometric calculations and use structurally approved materials that comply with strict building codes. During the initial phase of consulting with a customer regarding stair work is to listen to our client’s wants and needs, expected price and time completion. We can then develop a concept drawing. We provide project support during the entire project making it much easier to hold one person accountable for the entire staircase. Stair takeoffs from lumber companies often have discrepancies which most often results in huge time delays or unplanned additional costs. We prefer to perform the rough framing process to insure the quality of the structure with a temporary railing system that is OSHA compliant. Our company also carries a special insurance policy for stair construction in addition to our general liability. After this process, we template treads, railing, skirt boards and risers. We manufacture these parts using CNC routing and shaping equipment at our shop. We then stain the product in a controlled environment and package them.
